Not Your Mama's Account: Online Features
Yesterday, we looked at enrolling your Not Your Mama's Account online. Today, I'll be breaking down some of the great features of your online profile, and sharing a great on-screen walkthrough video.
Once you login, you'll be taken to your main dashboard page. There is a lot of great information on this main page that you should check out!
- My Account Balances
- Located in the top-right of the page.
- This box shows your current balances in your Savings, Checking, Visa, and CD accounts.
- Forecasting
- Graph located in the center of the page.
- The thick, red line is today's date. This feature forecasts what your balances will be over the next couple weeks based on your previous spending habits.
- This is a great budgeting tool!
- Alerts
- This is where anything that you need to know about your account is listed, like "holds" put on a payment, or when you have a loan payment coming due.
- Recent Transactions
- Recent transactions are posted here from ALL accounts.
- Tags
- This tool can help you track your spending habits, but it's up to you to use it!
- Under recent transactions, you'll see a tag icon to the left of every entry. If you click on this, you'll be able to categorize your transactions. For example, if I buy tickets to a Cardinals' game, I might tag this as "entertainment."
- Now if you scroll up and look at the right side of the page, you'll see a box labeled My Top Tags. All your categories are listed here. The larger the size of the word, the more transactions you make of that type. So if I spend more money on my "car payment" than I do on "entertainment," the "car payment" tag will be larger.
- Clicking on one of these tags opens all transactions made in that category.
- Our Sponsors
- Here you'll find coupons from our account sponsors!
- Today, I logged in and found a Subway coupon for TWO 6" meal deals for $7.99, and a voucher for a $300 gas card when renting a car from Enterprise.
- Shares
- Here you can find out more detailed information about any of your accounts.
- This page has a timeline slider on it that allows you to view that account's history.
- Along with "Shares," there are also Loans, Applications, and Resources tabs.
That's about it for the main page, but there are more tabs located at the top of the page like Transfer, where you can move money from one account to another; or Your Profile, where you can change personal information and set up features like Swipe2Save.
If you're a more visual learner, VCU has put together a great on-screen walkthrough video. Check it out HERE!
Now you're set. Log on and explore your NYMA profile.
Signing off...
